In case anybody noticed, I haven't been blogging much lately. Our computer monitor went on the blinx a few weeks ago and we have actually all enjoyed the break from too much of the outside world. I have a business laptop that I can keep up with emails and such and really could keep this updated but I've just chosen not to. I'm not sure if anyone's been by lately or not. I periodically check the site meter to see what number it's on. Then the next time I visit my own blog, I might remember to look at the number again. I don't know why I bother; I can't remember from the time before even remotely where the number was. It might have gone up. Maybe it stayed the same. It could have even gone down for all I know. People may begin to take their visits back since I haven't updated in a while! All I know is that I don't get as many visits as Dawn Meehan's blog, "Because I Said So!" Or suburbancorrespondent's, "The More, The Messier!" Or "Navel Gazing at its Finest" or the variety of other blogs I like to check into ("The Upside", "Little But Loud"-everyone needs to read at least the post about mammograms on her blog!, "The Keiser Family" and...can't remember the rest of the names just right now) because with the site meter right at 2300, it's not high enough to have that kind following. Which is all fine with me, I think I would feel a little bit of pressure with that kind of following! :)
Anyway, I still will update this from time to time but mostly I will just pop into other people's blogs and enjoy their writings! Happy Spring, everyone! Remember, positive thinking can't hurt...we need a bit more Springy weather already!

Whew! I did it!
Well, after many blunders and false starts, I finally figured out how to change the background of my blog! I really like it.....it's called "Sisters". I think I am particularily fond of this sentiment because of the close ties I have with my sisters and because I have all girls and so all my children, whom this blog is mostly about, are sisters! Nice and simple. Just how I like it. :)

Site Under Construction!!!
Will continue to monkey around until desired effect is found. Suggestions anyone? Carrie-the site you named came up as not legitimite as a site address... Do you mind looking at it again and letting me know if the address is maybe different? Thanks! :)

Tag, I'm It!
*Disclaimer: See my note in my comments section. I pieced this together over two night shifts during which I was feverish, with a head cold, and tired! And it shows! Need I say more? ;)
I've been tagged by Shellie, from Little But Loud blog. Shellie, if I knew how to make that link thingy to your name, I would. The blog address is little-but-loud.blogspot.com. It's a fun blog I really have enjoyed reading! Go check it out!
(1) You must post the rules on your blog before you answer the questions.
(2) You need to list one fact about yourself using each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name use your maiden name instead.
(3) When you are finished with your answers, you tag one person for each letter of your name.
Jane is my middle name. I'm glad it's not Elizabeth or something like that. So many letters, and a "z"... And to think I didn't used to like my middle name! :) Well, that was back when I was in elementary school! So, Jane should be pretty easy!
J-J-J-J....Java Monster is the first, and only, thing coming to mind. I love my coffee and anything remotely related to it. Java Monster is a coffee energy drink that my husband just introduced to me that is really, really good. It's also high in calories, cost kind of a lot, and you can't drink more than 3 in a day or you might run naked in the streets...or so my husband claims. (He said that some kid drank too many energy drinks and was found running naked in the streets in some news article he read. I would say that the reaction between his energy drink and antipsychotic meds was more at fault)
A.....Artistic? I would like to be artistic, anyway. Furthermore, only negative words beginning with the letter "A" are otherwise coming to mind (angry, aggressive, agitated..)
Nice? Nerdy? One wouldn't think this would be very hard but for some reason, I'm having a hard time even thinking of words beginning with these letters.
Energetic! I would like to think that I possess large amounts of energy. I think, though, that it actually is more like adrenaline-induced hyperactivity (that, or caffeine-induced from consuming more coffee in a day than water). The adrenaline would be from constant deadlines biting me in the behind....someone has a book report due; someone else has a Math Masters meeting after school and is supposed to be...oops, make that was supposed to be picked up by 3:30; this bill is/was due by...; whose wild child (well-child) was due by when? So, although I can secretly know it's probably not so much energy as it is panic-driven responses driven by what feels like a pack of hungry wolves nipping constantly at my heels, to keep it simple, I will just say I'm energetic! :)
Now, instead of tagging anyone, whoever reads this is tagged if they haven't done this one or aren't over-tagged lately. This is actually a fun and quick one!

Who Can Tell Whose Baby Is More Content?
You can all shout, "Me! Me!" As evidenced by a sudden flurry of postings! :) She is much more content now, although she does still spit up volumes at times! She still spits up a lot but maybe not as much as before. She is finally taking pretty good naps once to twice a day and sleeps much better at night! Yay!!!
photos compliments of Miss Greta...pretty good action shot of her spitting up!
Frenzied Friday
Kaisa: "Mom, do I have a temperature? Mom, do I have a temperature?"
Me: "I don't know. Do you think that you do?"
Kaisa: "Ummm, yeah!"
I pull out the thermometer, have her open her mouth, lift her tongue, I put in the thermometer, have her drop her tongue onto it, close her mouth and explained very clearly, "Now leave it under your tongue with your lips shut tight!" I kept noticing her rolling the thermometer from one side to the other under her tongue...or so I thought. I had her open her mouth for a second. There it sat, on top of her tongue. It was nearly done reading and it read 98.6. I inserted it under her arm, deeeep into her armpit. There it read.....98.6. I decided to check my own temp.......under the arm: 95.9. Diagnosis: Hypothermic. (Alternate Diagnosis: Thickening Layer of Adipose Tissue -Layman's Term: Too Many Fat Rolls Under Armpit) Then orally: 98.6. Then I decided to check Isabella's temp under her arm. 98.6! Conclusion: Thermodynamically Correct Family! What more can I say?
Kaisa: "Mom, I have a sore throat!"
Me: "Oh, really? Where?" thinking right after, "Duh, where do you think, Mom?"
Kaisa: "Right........here!" rubbing her tummy and leaning way over to inspect her tummy, lifting her shirt and finally landing with pointer in belly button! Good thing I clarified that! I was just ready to go get her Ibuprofen and tuck her in! I think we've had too many sore throats and temps in this household lately! That's how my dear 3 y.0. gets attention...she has seen that it works!
