Another busy baby! :)

I've had so much to write about in the last month but I have another lap baby. For the most part, he is so happy and content...as long as I'm holding him 24/7. I'm not even exaggerating at all!

You know what though? I'm quite confident that I won't still be holding him in another year even. I think that time spent now keeping him feeling secure and happy will be paid back by a content and happy baby later on. I remember our last baby was the same way and now is such of a card, happy to be running around exploring and entertaining, with only occasional pit stops in my lap. So, in the meantime, I keep taking pictures and collecting little stories in my mind that I think, "When I get a minute or ten, I will go post these pictures and tell these stories. When I get a minute...." So far that minute or ten have been hard to come by, so by the time I actually sit down to tell my tales and post my pictures, I probably won't remember much of anything anymore that I had meant to post but I'm quite confident I will have new stories to tell! :)

Hi Darla!

Oh these babies of ours sure like to be held, hey? Same as you though, I have learned to enjoy it. They're only content to snuggle in your lap for so long and then it's like 'so long, mom!'. Got to treasure the cute, innocent love!

See you tomorrow!

I was just thinking about you yesterday, wondering how you and the new baby were doing. I'm so happy for you and I can't wait to see new pics!

My husband often gets after me for holding the newest baby too much... he thinks i will 'spoil' the baby. I try not to argue over petty things... but to me, having those precious few moments to 'spoil' the baby is worth taking a stand on. I always tell him that someday, when i am old, that those moments are the ones i will treasure the most :)

lol, i don't know how to respond to comments either. As u said, how refreshing it is to know there is someone else out there who suffers from 'mommy brain' from time to time. Maybe someday they will find a cure :)

You have a beautiful family! I end up holding my babies almost 24/7. They are so precious, and so little for such a short time.

Beautiful new baby and older sisters!! Congratulations on having a boy! I take it you didn't know until he was born? I had 6 (surprises all) girls, and when expecting the 7th, I really needed the surprise, whether it was another girl or a boy. She was born on my oldest's 10th birthday...but it's been wonderful, of course. Now I have a 6 mo.grandson, what fun!! My girls are all having a great time with him, my daughter and her husband have too much help. Take care, you obviously enjoy your lovely children immensely! They are precious!

Cheryl- That's exactly how I felt (after we DID try find out and couldn't tell)...I would tell my husband, "How fun though that we don't know because to have seven girls would be so fun and special..7 princesses...but to have a boy would be a fun change too. Kind of nice to just be surprised!"
